IPL 2022 Auction: Bumrah's cryptic tweet during bowlers' round in auction leaves fans confused

Jasprit Bumrah has already been retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the auction.

Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Jasprit Bumrah dropped a cryptic tweet during the first day of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) mega-auction. His tweet came when the franchises were paying hefty amounts to bowlers.

Deepak Chahar fetched a huge price of INR 14 crore by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), as he became the second-most expensive player on the first day of the auction. Prasidh Krishna, Lockie Ferguson and Avesh Khan bagged INR 10 crores each, going to Rajasthan Royals (RR), Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Bumrah was retained by Mumbai as part of the player retentions ahead of the mega auction. He has retained at a price of INR 12 crore, along with Rohit Sharma (16 Cr), Suryakumar Yadav (8 Cr), and Kieron Pollard (6 Cr).

The 28-year-old posted a laughing and facepalm emoji without any word which left the Twitterati guessing. They tried to decode Indian speedster's tweet and came up with different assumptions.
