Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) mega-auction's first day begun on Saturday (February 12) in Bengaluru. It is a very important day for the players who have made it to the auction's final list.

The list features some elite names from domestic and international cricket, including capped and uncapped players. With a new cycle of IPL to start, the franchises are building their side from scratch.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma posted a picture of his Team India teammates following the auction. On Friday, India completed the ODI series against West Indies and won it by 3-0.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav can be seen in the picture shared by Rohit on Instagram. Iyer has been sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 12.25 crore. 

Pant is part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad, while Suryakumar has already been retained by Mumbai ahead of the auction. Chahal was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Shardul couldn't get retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Mumbai had also let go Kishan into the auction. Both of them are expected to get high bids in the auction.
