IPL 2022: 5 Indian capped players who might attract huge bids in the IPL 15 mega auction

The IPL 2022 mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on Feb 12-13.

ISHAN KISHAN (Base Price- INR 2 crores)

Ishan Kishan | MI TwitterIt would have been a tough task for the Mumbai Indians to let go of the young and dashing Ishan Kishan ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction, given that he was their highest run-getter in IPL 2020 and hit the most sixes in the edition as well.

This led to him making his India debut in white-ball formats and he made an immediate impact in both T20Is and ODIs. He scored half-centuries on debut in both formats and has impressed everyone with his nonchalant and fearless way of batting.

IPL 2022: ‘Ishan Kishan will be the most expensive opener”, Aakash Chopra makes a bold prediction for auction

The Indian team management has earmarked Kishan as an opener and he will be seen in the upcoming limited-overs series against the West Indies.

Ishan Kishan has scored his run in the IPL at a strike rate of 136.34 and has hit 74 sixes and 121 fours thus far in 56 matches. It is widely expected that all the franchises in the IPL will bid heavily for him, given that they not only get a gun opener and a terrific wicketkeeper, they also get a potential captain for the future, given that Kishan has captained Jharkhand and India U19 in the past.
