While chasing DC’s target of 165 runs, even though RCB had lost some early wickets, the wicket-keeper batter Bharat (78*) along with Glenn Maxwell (51*) batted brilliantly to take their team over the line against the top ranked DC side.

Bharat who played an unbeaten knock of 78 off 52 balls with 3 maximums and 4 sixes which also included a maximum off the final ball when his team needed 5 off the last ball.

Great winning on the last ball, and an incredible feeling to finish it off. Maxi and I just kept telling each other to watch that ball till the end. I wasn't nervous at any point and I was just looking for the right ball and the opportunity to hit it out, the right-handed KS Bharat told Star Sports.

When the 28-year-old was asked about performing in a crucial match that too ahead of the playoffs, he replied by saying, “I have worked hard and nothing comes easy. This will give us a lot of confidence.

After being invited to bat first, the Delhi-based franchise posted 164/5 in their quota of 20 overs as Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan played good knocks of 48 and 43 runs respectively with Shimron Hetmyer scoring important 29 runs at the back end of the innings.

With this win under their belt, RCB will be very high confidence as they take on the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Eliminator on Monday (11 October) at Sharjah.
