Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Nitish Rana broke the camera lens near the boundary rope with his shot against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (October 3). The commentators were surprised to see the shattered lens of the camera.
The incident happened during the fourth ball of the 18th over when Jason Holder bowled a short delivery to Rana and he pulled it for a boundary towards the deep mid-wicket. The ball went past Rashid Khan and smashed the robot camera near the boundary.

After the incident, Rashid was seen checking the lens of the camera. KKR wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik reacted to the picture on Twitter and asked what was Rashid doing there? "And what was Rashid trying to do there," Karthik wrote.
The match was won by Kolkata as they chased down a small target of 116 runs in 19.4 overs. KKR opener Shubman Gill was the top scorer with 57 runs in 51 deliveries. He was named as the Player of the Match for his knock.
Rana scored 25 runs off 33 balls before getting out to Holder, while Karthik finished the run-chase with an unbeaten 12-ball 18 runs which included 3 fours.
Kolkata are currently at the number four spot on the points table with 6 wins in 13 matches. They will have to win the final match to secure their place in the top four, considering their high net run rate.
