IPL 2021: Cricket fraternity reacts to MI’s playoffs' chances being dented as DC wins by 4 wickets

MI remain at 10 points from 12 matches, while DC go to 18 points.

Suryakumar Yadav top-scored with 33 runs and was the only one to get past the 20-run mark with Quinton de Kock making 19 and Hardik Pandya making 17. For DC, Avesh Khan (3/15) and Akshar Patel (3/21) were the picks of bowlers.

In reply, MI removed the top three DC batters Shikhar Dhawan (8), Prithvi Shaw (6), and Steve Smith (9) for single-digit scores. But then Rishabh Pant (26) and Shreyas Iyer (33*) along with R Ashwin’s 20* was enough for DC to seal the win in the last over.

DC won the match with 4 wickets in hand moved to 18 points in 12 matches, while MI remained on 10 points from 12 matches at the 6th spot.

The cricket fraternity was ecstatic with DC solidifying their spot in the top two of the points table with this win and praised the Rishabh Pant-led side on Twitter.
