Yuzvendra Chahal has always fancied himself as a potent batsman despite always batting at no. 10 or 11. He has mockingly campaigned to bat higher up the batting order for his IPL franchise RCB in previous editions and the ongoing IPL 2021 as well.
This came after Wednesday’s encounter against RR, where Chahal had expressed his desire to bat at no.3 for RCB after the broadcasters put up a poll asking fans who should bat at 3 for RCB. The options were KS Bharat, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers.

But when the camera person was panning in the dugout, Yuzvendra Chahal was sitting in the dugout, along with Maxwell and the Aussie all-rounder quickly pointed to the leg-spinner, who raised his hand indicating he thinks he should be the number 3.
Now the RCB shared a video of Chahal batting in the nets and asked the fans a question, “Yuzi thinks he can open the batting for us.” To which Chahal quoted the tweet with a heart emoji and no.3 written.
