Therefore, let’s have a look at the COC Predicted Playing XIs for the RR v CSK match in Abu Dhabi

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Rajasthan Royals have nothing to lose now as there are only two spots left up for grabs when it comes to the playoffs of the IPL 2021. Chennai Super Kings, their opponents for the night, and Delhi Capitals (DC) have already qualified for the final four, while Sunrisers Hyderabad has been eliminated.

If RR wins this match and their remaining two encounters as well they will end on 14 points giving them an outside chance of making it into the final four.

David Miller has been under utilized | RR TwitterHowever, their biggest problem has been the weird selection of players in their playing XI. While the openers have done decently well, with Evin Lewis flourishing at the top, the middle order of Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, and Liam Livingstone has done nothing of note. Tewatia, the hero of RR’s campaign in IPL 2020, has done nothing with either the ball or the bat.

Their bowling has been solely dependent on Chetan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi, and Mustafizur Rahman with spinners being nonperforming at the best.

This means some changes are mostly expected with someone like Shivam Dube coming in to bolster the middle order along with David Miller who might be better suited to the middle of the batting order. Also with Rahul Tewatia not performing at all, it’s possibly time to bring in Mayank Markande, a specialist leg spinner in the mix.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

CSK has finally gotten back on track as they became the first team to qualify for the playoffs of the IPL 2021.

Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been at the top of their game as openers, while Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali have more than made up for the lack of form of MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran have done well for the CSK in the late middle order.

Dwayne Bravo might get rested for this match | BCCI-IPL

Perhaps they will give the veteran Dwayne Bravo some rest for this match and give Curran another go. Also on the resting bench could be pacer Josh Hazlewood who could make way for Lungi Ngidi.

Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur have done well in tandem on all sorts of wickets and will be excited to seal either of the top two spots on the points table.

RR COC Predicted Playing XI:

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Evin Lewis, Sanju Samson (C&WK), Mahipal Lomror, David Miller, Shivam Dube, Chris Morris, Mayank Markande, Chetan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi, Mustafizur Rahman
