IPL 2021: Match 40, SRH v RR- COC Predicted Playing XIs

RR had beaten SRH in their previous IPL 2021 encounter.

RR had beaten SRH in their previous IPL 2021 encounter | BCCI-IPLMatch 40 of the IPL 2021 will see Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) taking on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Dubai on September 27, 2021. Rajasthan Royals had beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous encounter of the tournament in Delhi, thanks to a century by Jos Buttler.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has had a terrible IPL 2021 as they have won just one match out of 9 played and have crashed out of the race for the playoffs.  Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, cannot afford to lose any more matches if they wish to remain in contention for playoffs.

Keeping this in mind, Team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs for the SRH v RR match in Dubai of IPL 2021.

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD

Sunrisers Hyderabad made numerous changes to their playing XI, changed their head coach for the IPL 2021, and even changed their captain in the middle of the tournament, but one thing they couldn’t change was their fortunes, as they have won only one game out of 9 played and are at the bottom of the points table.

David Warner had a lot to prove after being replaced as SRH captain, but his bat has been silent thus far. Not only him, but Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, and the rest of SRH batting have done nothing of significance and hence they are languishing at the bottom of the points table.

Manish Pandey has done nothing of significance for SRH in past 2 seasons of IPL | BCCI-IPLAs of now, the only change possible in their playing XI is Priyam Garg coming in for non-performing Kedar Jadhav. Also fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was injured during their last game, as he was seen clutching his back and didn’t bowl his full quota of overs, hence SRH might bring in J Suchith or Siddharth Kaul for Khaleel.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Rajasthan Royals are in the same boat as SRH, but they still have an outside chance of making it into the playoffs if they win all of the remaining five matches, as RR currently has 4 wins from 9 matches.

Evin Lewis and Chris Morris are fit and are expected to be back in the playing XI, replacing David Miller and Tabraiz Shamsi from their last match against Delhi Capitals.

IPL 2021: RR captain Sanju Samson fined INR 24 lakhs for slow over-rate against DC

Mustafizur Rahman has been one of the shining lights for RR | BCCI-IPLRR has not found any rhythm to their batting despite having talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson himself. However, their inconsistency has cost them much of the flow in the entire tournament. Their bowling actually has been good thanks to the brilliance of Chetan Sakariya and Mustafizur Rahman.

Kartik Tyagi did a great job against Punjab Kings. To add more depth to their team, RR might also think of bringing in all-rounder Shivam Dube for possibly Riyan Parag, who has been disappointing.

This match is important for both teams as RR would want to win to keep themselves alive in the tournament, while SRH would like to end their IPL 2021 tournament with some wins.

SRH COC Predicted Playing XI:

Wriddhiman Saha (WK), David Warner, Kane Williamson (C), Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, J Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma

RR COC Predicted Playing XI:
