Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered a convincing nine-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 31st Match of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) in Abu Dhabi to spoil Virat Kohli's party in his 200th IPL match.

Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first, a decision that backfired on his team as RCB crashed to 92 all out in 19 overs with Andre Russell and Varun Chakravarthy taking three wickets each. The RCB captain could only manage to score 5 runs, a day after announcing his decision to step down as captain after the season.

KKR chased down the target of 93 in just 10 overs with Shubman Gill scoring 48 and debutant Venkatesh Iyer impressing with an unbeaten 41. This is KKR's third win of the tournament from eight matches.

After the match, KKR's Twitter account shared a video clip of Kohli in an animated conversation with Venkatesh, and sharing some batting tips with the 26-year-old who plays for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket.
