The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) second phase is set to kick-off on Sunday (September 19) and the star players of franchises have already started to engage in banters.
IPL's official broadcasters, Star Sports shared a video in which they featured Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, representing their respective franchises.
"Now This is what a dream call looks like, eh? The stars have said it themselves - #VivoIPL 2021 ka #AsliPictureAbhiBaakiHai!", wrote Star Sports ahead of the clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
The tournament was suspended in May due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the bio-bubble. BCCI decided to shift the second phase from India to UAE after they successfully hosted the last season.
Currently, Delhi Capitals (DC) are top of the points table with 6 wins in 8 matches. CSK and RCB are at number 2 and 3, respectively, with an equal number of wins; 5 victories in 7 matches.
