Punjab Kings (PBKS) left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar was the star on Friday (April 30) night as he scalped the wickets of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers. PBKS defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 34 runs and jumped to number five in the points table.

After the match, Brar, registered figures of 3 for 19, got appreciated by RCB captain Kohli. His stellar performance got him his maiden IPL ‘Player of the Match’ award.

IPL shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "First, the wicket & then, the appreciation from the man himself! @thisisbrar will surely cherish this moment with @imVkohli !".

Brar hasn't got many opportunities in the IPL and featured in only four matches overall, including the recent one against RCB on Friday. Kohli is his first IPL wicket. 

Batting first, PBKS scored 179/5 as skipper KL Rahul scored unbeaten 57-ball 91 runs with 7 fours and 5 sixes. RCB's batting collapsed while chasing the target, thanks to Brar, and the defeat has put them on the number three spot.
