The Twitterverse was outraged as Ishan Kishan was dropped to make way for Nathan Coulter-Nile. Kishan might not have set the IPL 2021 on fire, but he was their highest run-getter in IPL 2020, which MI won and hit the most sixes in the tournament- 30.

This performance led to Ishan Kishan debuting for India in the T20I series against England and slammed a fifty in his first outing in India colors.
