Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was impressed with Imran Tahir's fielding effort against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Tahir had run Kyle Jamieson out in their clash on Sunday (April 25) at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Praising Tahir in a chat after the match, Jadeja asked him about the direct hit to send back Jamieson. To which, the 42-year-old jokingly said that he secretly practices while others spend time in the nets.
“Main bhi chhupke fielding karta hoon jab humare net hote hain! (I secretly practice my fielding during the nets)," he said.
Tahir further added that it's not easy to hide on the field in competitive cricket and he is aware of improving his fielding standards. "I know this is professional cricket, no one can hide on the field. You are in our team, you attack the ball like lightning.

"I also want to be electric in the field, you inspire youngsters and me as well. Looking at you guys, I try to do my best whenever I am playing,” he revealed.
The veteran leg-spinner is very fit even at the age of 42 and Jadeja wondered if he would be able to as good as him at this age.
“You are so fit at 42 and that too in T20 format. To put such effort in so much heat, as a player I wonder whether I would be able to contribute like this when I am at your age,” Jadeja told Tahir.
CSK will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Delhi on April 28. They are currently at the top of the table with 4 wins in 5 matches.
