Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced Delhi Capitals (DC) in the second match of Super Sunday (April 25) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Opting to bat first, DC posted 159/4 in 20 overs on the back of Prithvi Shaw’s 39-ball 53, including 7 fours and a six. Skipper Rishabh Pant (37 off 27 balls) and Steve Smith (34* of 25 balls) also made handy contributions with the bat.
Chasing the target, SRH were struggling at 117/6 but Kane Williamson produced an unbeaten knock of 51-ball 66 and Jagadeesha Suchith played a brilliant cameo of 6-ball 14* to tie the match.
In the Super-Over, Akshar Patel bowled brilliantly for the Capitals as he conceded only 7 runs in it. David Warner (2) and Williamson (4) were the two batsmen for SRH.
Needing 8 to win the one-over eliminator, Pant and Shikhar Dhawan came to the crease for DC while Rashid Khan was given the ball by Sunrisers.
Pant hit the third delivery for a boundary whereas Rashid conceded three leg byes in the over as DC got over the line on the last ball.
