Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Ben Stokes was not happy with the Chepauk pitch and he posted a tweet slamming the deck during the clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
Stokes took to Twitter and wrote that the wickets at MA Chidambaram stadium are trash and he hoped for better pitches as the tournament progresses.
"Hope the wickets don’t get worse as the@IPL gets deeper into the tournament..160/170 minimum not scraping to 130/140 cause the wickets are trash," he wrote on Twitter.

Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee, who is also part of the commentary panel, was among the ones who criticized the pitch at Chennai. He was joined by ex-India cricketer Parthiv Patel.
“This was not an easy wicket to bat on, you’ve got to give credit to Gayle and KL Rahul, they were very sensible, full marks to PBKs,” Parthiv said on Star Sports after PBKS' 9-wicket win.
Lee continued the discussion, “It’s a shocking cricket wicket, to be honest, it’s hard for the batsmen to get into any sort of rhythm."
"It’s hard for the bowlers, doesn’t swing, so I don’t think it’s a good wicket. But you have to give credit to Rahul and his Punjab Kings,” he added.
The slow nature of the pitch at Chepauk has produced low-scoring matches. Mumbai Indians have played five matches here and they have batted first in all of them. The Rohit Sharma-led side won only two and lost three matches.
