England all-rounder Ben Stokes left the Rajasthan Royals (RR) bio-bubble to return home after suffering a finger injury. Stokes was already ruled out of the IPL 2021 after he broke his finger during RR's first match of the season against Punjab Kings (PBKS) while taking a catch.
Stokes underwent an X-ray and CT scan on Thursday (April 15) and he is going home for surgery on the fractured left index finger. Taking to Twitter, Royals posted a picture of Stokes surrounded by his teammates.

They wrote, "Bye Ben. The all-rounder flew back home last night after a scan revealed that he'll have to undergo surgery on his finger. Speedy recovery, champ."
Stokes looks set to miss England's Test series against New Zealand in June after the ECB said that he would require surgery on his broken finger, which puts him out for up to 12 weeks. The first Test of England against New Zealand at Lord's is starting on June 2.
"England all-rounder Ben Stokes will be out for up to 12 weeks after a repeat X-ray and CT scan on Thursday revealed that he has a fracture of his left index finger," the ECB said in an official statement.
"Stokes, who is currently in India with Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, will fly home tomorrow. He will have surgery in Leeds on Monday," the statement had further read.
