On the other hand, Sanju Samson almost single-handedly helped RR chase down the 222-run target set by KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) with his amazing 119-run knock, but fell four runs short.

Today as these batting powerhouses clash in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs for the RR v DC match.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS (RR)

Rajasthan Royals almost chased down 222 runs set by Punjab Kings on April 12 thanks to Sanju Samson’s brilliant century. However, their issues with player injuries just got worse. RR is already missing the services of England pacer Jofra Archer and during the PBKS match, Ben Stokes suffered a broken finger.

This has ruled out Stokes from the whole IPL 2021 edition, which is a huge setback to the RR side, who were already suffering from team balance.

This might mean that when they face the formidable Delhi Capitals (DC), they will need to alter their plans of using Jos Buttler in the middle order and move him up to open the innings with Manan Vohra.

David Miller might replace Ben Stokes in RR XI | RR TwitterSanju Samson did amazingly well at no.3, while RR has the option of bringing in either David Miller or Liam Livingstone as a replacement for Ben Stokes. The remainder of the middle order and bowling unit is expected to remain the same.

Riyan Parag and Shivam Dube did show sparks of their talents in the match against PBKS, but they needed to continue to make more runs. Rahul Tewatia and Chris Morris might be utilized in a better form since Stokes is no longer a part of the RR side.

Shreyas Gopal needs to give RR wickets in the middle overs, while Chetan Sakariya did exceedingly well on his debut and much more will be expected of him against the explosive DC batting. He is expected to be assisted by Mustafizur Rahman, who looked good in his first match.

DELHI CAPITALS (DC)

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, will want to continue with their winning ways in their encounter against Rajasthan Royals.
