Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took to his Twitter account and hilariously reacted to Suresh Raina’s return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Veteran CSK batsman Suresh Raina had a great start to his IPL 14 campaign as he notched quickfire 54 runs to help his team post a mammoth target of 188 runs. The southpaw played his first game since IPL 2019 final after missing IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and announced his return in style with a fifty.

His innings of 54 runs off 36 balls included 3 fours and 4 sixes and was looking dangerous before a miscommunication between him and Ravindra Jadeja saw him getting out.

IPL 2021: Cricket fraternity lauds Suresh Raina as he slams 36-ball 54 to take CSK to 188/7 against DC

Suresh Raina’s remarkable return to cricket was lauded by many Indian pundits including former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag.

Sehwag took to his Twitter account and posted a picture of a room with the balcony in an apparent reference to the controversy that broke out last year over Raina's departure.

Last year, some reports had appeared that Raina returned to India from the UAE before IPL because he was not given a room with a balcony.

“This is the difference. Jai Jai Balcony. Mazaak hai, jyada seriously mat lo. (It’s a joke, don’t take it seriously),” Virender Sehwag Tweeted.

Despite Raina’s fifty CSK failed to defend the target as DC openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw stitched 138 runs partnership to help their team register the first win of IPL 2021.
