We all know he had a great Vijay Hazare Trophy. 800 runs in 8 matches. He is carrying his confidence which is what we wanted. We wanted him to be in good form. I think he himself was spending more time, he is asking me to come early at 3 o'clock, and getting more balls, hitting more balls,” He said.

In absence of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant will be leading the DC side, and the 52-year-old former India batsman is looking forward to having the new captain in the mix in Mumbai as he feels that as a young captain, he should understand the strengths and weaknesses of his players in the lead up to the new season.
