Australia and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has opted out of the IPL 2021 citing bio bubble fatigue.

The younger Marsh brother has decided not to come to India for the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League as he might have to stay in a mandatory seven-day quarantine followed by another couple of months in restricted conditions.

SRH also failed to have his services for almost the entire IPL 2020 when he sprained his ankle in the franchise's very first game of the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He was then replaced by the West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder, who will also be with the men in Orange this season.

Marsh communicated his unavailability to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and SRH a few days ago.

According to Cricbuzz, SRH has roped in a prominent England top-order batsman, who participated and did well in the recently-concluded limited-overs series against India, for IPL 2021.

Since making his IPL debut way back in 2010, the 29-year-old has played 21 IPL games for the Deccan Chargers, Pune Warriors, Rising Pune Supergiant, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He has scored 225 runs at an average of 17.31 and a strike rate of 114.21. With the ball, he has picked 20 wickets at an average of 21.0 and an economy rate of 7.90.
