Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have disclosed the names of players, who have been retained and released on the last day of the deadline.

KXIP have retained 16 and released 9 players from their last year's squad. The retained players won’t be part of the IPL 2020-21 auction, likely to be held in the second week of February.

In the list of players retained by Kings XI include KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, Mandeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Deepak Hooda, Prabhsimran Singh, Mohammad Shami, Chris Jordan, Darshan Nalkande, Ravi Bishnoi, Murugan Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Ishan Porel

On the other hand, KXIP let go Glenn Maxwell, Karun Nair, Hardus Viljoen, Jagadeesha Suchith, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Sheldon Cottrell, Jimmy Neesham, Krishnappa Gowtham, Tajinder Singh.

KXIP took to Twitter to announce their retained players:
