Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) IPL trophy's weight will continue as this year also they failed to lift the trophy. This season they did well compare to the last three seasons and made to the playoffs after a three years gap.

Royal Challengers Bangalore's season began with an impressive win over Sunrisers Hyderabad and after that, they gained momentum and kept performing and registered seven wins in the first ten matches. But in the second half of the tournament, they lost the plot and kept losing matches after matches and lost their last four league matches but somehow qualified for play-offs where they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator and thus their season ended with five back to back losses.

When it comes to performances AB de Villiers, Devdutt Padikkal and Yuzvendra Chahal were their stand-out performers. The likes of Chris Morris, Washington Sundar, and Mohammed Siraj also did well. Captain Virat Kohli also scored more than 400 runs and played some good knocks but he couldn't perform up to his standard. Aaron Finch, Moeen Ali, Umesh Yadav, and Dale Steyn disappointed a lot.
