Suryakumar Yadav played a match-winning knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and took his side Mumbai Indians (MI) to their 8th victory of IPL 2020. He scored 79* runs off 43 deliveries to chase down 165 runs with five wickets in hand.

Surya was not happy after being ignored by the selectors for the Australia tour and even stand-in captain Kieron Pollard talked about it in the post-match presentation.

After the match, an old tweet of Rohit Sharma started doing rounds on Twitter. The tweet posted in 2011 was about Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit called him a talented cricketer to watch out for in the future.

"Just got done with BCCI awards here in Chennai. Some exciting cricketers coming up. Suryakumar Yadav from Mumbai to watch out for in future", tweeted Rohit on December 10, 2011. The Twitter users called Rohit visionary and lauded him for identifying the talent.

Rohit is currently resting because of a hamstring injury that he had sustained against Kings XI Punjab on October 18. He is trying his best to get fit before the important playoffs match.
