Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah yesterday night and registered their fifth win of this season.
Earlier Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Jofra Archer gave them a good start by removing Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw cheaply. Shreyas Iyer played some shots but he got run out for 22. Rishabh Pant too got run out for just 5 runs and at 79/4 Delhi were in some trouble but Marcus Stoinis' 39, Shimron Hetmyer's 45, and cameos from Akshar Patel and Harshal Patel helped Delhi to post a good total of 184/8 on the board.
In reply, Rajasthan Royals had a poor start as R Ashwin dismissed Jos Buttler for just 13 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Steven Smith took the score to over 50 runs but Nortje broke this stand by removing Smith for 24 runs and after his dismissal, Rajasthan Royals' collapse started and the whole team bowled out for 138 runs in the last over. Kagiso Rabada took 3 wickets while R Ashwin and Stoinis picked up 2 wickets each.
