Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Steve Smith expressed disappointment on his form with the bat after his team went down by 46 runs in Sharjah this Friday (October 9) against Delhi Capitals (DC), their fourth successive defeat of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Smith had another failure, scoring 24 off 17 balls this time as RR failed to chased down DC's 184/8, being dismissed for just 138.

"We have to remain positive, turn things around quickly. At the moment it doesn't seem to be going our way. I'm not batting too well either. I did feel good tonight with the bat but didn't get hold of one that I feel like I should have," said Smith at the post-match presentation ceremony, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
Rahul Tewatia, who top-scored for RR with a 29-ball 38, had earlier delivered a very economical spell of 1/20. Jofra Archer (3/25) also had a fruitful outing in the first half. The rest of the attack went for plenty. Smith rued the fact there wasn't enough support from the other end for those two.
"We are not playing good enough over the 40 overs, and not executing when the pressure is coming on and you can't win many games that way," he said.
"The bowlers did a good job, and I don't think the wicket was as good as it has been here, a bit sloppy tonight, and we gave away 10-15 extra runs."
Currently seventh in the points table with two wins and four losses, RR will have a major boost through the return of their premier all-rounder Ben Stokes from the next match.
Stokes, having finished his six-day quarantine, will join the side on the eve of the Sunday's (October 11) fixture versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Dubai.
"Stokes hasn't had a lot of practice, he gets out of quarantine tomorrow, so we'll see if he plays the day after tomorrow," said Smith.
