Ex-India cricketer Yuvraj Singh engaged in a light-hearted banter with Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Ben Stokes over Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) batting order. Narine was sent over Eoin Morgan in the middle order against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday (October 7).

Stokes was surprised by the move and tweeted "Narine before Morgan?", expressing that it might be a poor call. Before this match, Narine has batted as an opener for KKR in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. But Kolkata decided to open with Rahul Tripathi against CSK and played Narine as a floater.

Yuvraj tried to be cheeky with Stokes and teased him with his comment. He said that sometimes it's better to let bowlers come before a proper batsman to slog.

"Yeah, it's like Yuvraj before Stokes. Sometimes u got let the all-rounders go before, bowlers who can bat before a proper batsman to slog," Yuvraj joked.

Coming in at number four, Narine scored 17 off 9 deliveries with one six and a four. Morgan was sent after him and he could only manage 7 runs off 10 deliveries.

Eventually, KKR won the match by 10 runs after successfully defending a target of 168 runs. CSK choked in the death overs and failed to capitalize on the start they got. CSK was 99/1 in 12 overs but the middle order once again let them down.
