The Delhi Capitals (DC) achieved a dominating victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their fixture at the Dubai International Stadium on Monday, October 5. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada picked up 4/24 in his quota of 4 overs for the Capitals.

Rabada bowled only one over in the powerplays and was then replaced by R Ashwin in the third over. The speedster would've liked to bowl another over as the ball was swinging but believed that it wasn't a bad decision to bring the spinner on as he picked the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal.

Rabada said in the post-match presentation, "It was swinging a bit, so it would have been nice to bowl the second over. I don't think it was a bad call to take me off after the first over. At the end of the day, it worked out. I think if you want to be the best you have to adjust to the conditions."

IPL 2020: Kagiso Rabada says, “Need to be confident and in right frame of mind to execute yorkers”

"I think it was a really good win tonight. After that win at Sharjah, it gave us a lot of confidence against a team like RCB who have some really good batsmen. It also gives us massive confidence in having won today. I don't really plan to get wickets, you can only control in which areas to bowl," he added.

DC spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel contributed heavily to the victory with figures of 1/26 and 2/18 in their combined total of 8 overs. In fact, it was the left-arm spinner Axar Patel, who won the 'Man of the Match' award.

Rabada praised the spinners saying, "I think the spinners did a really good job today, they set up the game for us in the powerplay. Axar and Ashwin actually won us the game. All in all, it was a good performance and we are happy as a team."
