Kagiso Rabada, Delhi Capitals’ pacer has been in the news lately for his amazing bowling performances for his franchise in the ongoing IPL 2020. He has taken 2 wickets or more in 10 consecutive matches in IPL, creating a new record.
Rabada has been part of two of the most amazing encounters in the IPL 2020 so far, as he successfully bowled an amazing super over against Kings XI Punjab, dismissing both their batsman with 2 runs on the board.
The key for him has been his perfect execution of the most potent weapon any fast bowler has in T20s- the yorker. He has bowled the delivery with accuracy and reaped rich rewards as well.
Speaking to TOI from Dubai, Kagiso Rabada said: "Yorkers are the most effective deliveries in this format, and if you execute them well, you've got the best chance of dominating batsmen. You need to be in the right frame of mind or confident enough of what you are going to do, and plan it before executing. If you feel today is your day, everything is going according to the plan, and then you should give it a shot."

"On a different day, it can be a different story altogether, you might miss out on executing it and may face consequences of it," he said while admitting it’s difficult to bowl a yorker perfectly under pressure.
Rabada has bowled two super overs for DC and on both occasions, his team has emerged victorious. The super over he bowled against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2019 saw him clean up big-hitter Andre Russell with an amazing yorker which uprooted his middle stump.
"Yorkers are the best options for a Super Over, but as I said, one has to execute it perfectly. How many times you were able to nail a yorker in the game is what excites the bowler, and that's the beauty of it," he said.
Rabada further mentioned that he has taken bowling on the dead, slow pitches in UAE, which have proven to be a graveyard for fast bowlers, as a challenge.
"I think the fast bowlers will also have their say in this tournament. You know, it will come down to how good you are with your character on the field. However, it's surely going to be a high-pressure IPL for the pacers, and that's what is going to help us fight the unfavorable conditions," he said.
