Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma lauded his team's explosive middle-order batsmen, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya, after their healthy contribution in win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Sharjah this Sunday (October 4) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Hardik (28), Pollard (25*), Krunal (20*) struck fantastic cameos to take MI's score past the 200-mark (208/5) after their opener Quinton de Kock (67) and Suryakumar Yadav (27), Ishan Kishan (31) had set-up a nice foundation.

In the second half as well, while Hardik remained an absentee with the ball, Pollard (0/20) and Krunal (1/35) bowled useful spells to ensure MI are able to defend their total by 34 runs. Apart from those two, pacers Trent Boult (2/28) and James Pattinson (2/29) were also terrific on the day.
"The wicket looked good but it was slightly on the slower side so getting past 200 was a great effort. We didn't have any total in mind. We back our bowlers to do the job. And that's what they did," said Rohit at the post-match presentation ceremony, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
"I definitely missed out, but again you try your best whenever you have the opportunity. Great effort from the boys to put those runs on the board."
"We decide the middle order depending on how the game is going. Match-ups, match situation etc. It is great to have three power hitters. Today Krunal also showed his value," he added.
Rohit also heaped praise on his team's bowlers as they became the only side in the competition so far to not concede 200 runs in Sharjah.
"You come with bowling plans. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but you have to bowl the best delivery at the time. I don't try to impose my plans on them. I want them to give me their plan, and then I set the field. It is always nice to have bowlers who do that," he said.
MI next face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Tuesday (October 6) in Abu Dhabi.
