IPL 2020: Match 7, CSK v DC – Fantasy Cricket Tips, Possible Playing XIs, Pitch and Weather

With the teams getting a hang of conditions, they are getting creative with their selection of players, and therefore, TEAM COC presents to you the Predicted Playing XIs of both CSK and DC for the upcoming 7th match of the IPL 13.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS (CSK)

Chennai didn’t have much trouble chasing down the relatively low score from Mumbai Indians in the first match of the tournament with Ambati Rayudu playing a gem of an innings, with help from Faf du Plessis. However, in their second match of the tournament, Rajasthan got stuck into their bowlers pretty good.

Faf du Plessis in CSK's trump card in batting | IANSEven a belligerent knock from Faf and three sixes in the last over from MS Dhoni didn’t help much as CSK lost by 16 runs. Dhoni’s tactics in the chase surprised everyone, as there was a chance for them to win if they had teed off earlier.

CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed that Ambati Rayudu may miss one more match before getting to 100% fitness and this means, M Vijay might get one more chance at the top to prove that he belongs in the playing XI, but one more failure to contribute heavily may bench him for good.

The rest of the playing XI is supposed to be the same, given that Watson, Du Plessis, and Sam Curran have played their parts well, with Curran being the most impressive. Lungi Ngidi went for plenty against RR, a scenario he wouldn’t want to repeat again.

Sam Curran has done extremely well with both the bat and the ball | IANSAs for the Indian part of the XI, Jadhav, and Jadeja haven’t gotten much time to bat in the middle, while Ruturaj’s IPL debut proved to be a dud, and he would want to stay out there and score some runs to get some confidence. MS Dhoni’s batting has been nothing short of bizarre, but he has his ways of doing things.

DELHI CAPITALS (DC)

Delhi Capitals will on high on confidence as they seemingly got out of huge trouble against King XI Punjab in their opening match with Stoinis and Rabada coming through big time. The two points they got after winning the super over will come in handy later in the tournament.

Shikhar Dhawan needs to come good for DC | TwitterUnfortunately, they might miss the services of their game-changer from the last match, R Ashwin, who dislocated his left shoulder in the very first over he bowled, in which he picked two wickets. This means there might be a chance that Amit Mishra is included in the playing XI as a cover, helping Akshar in the spin department.

Another replacement that might come in handy for DC can be Harshal Patel coming in for Mohit Sharma. Mohit looked out of sorts in the first match, especially in death overs. Harshal has a good variety of balls in his quiver and is extremely handy with the bat as well, something DC can do with.

Kagiso Rabada will be the key again for DC bowling | IANSOtherwise, the playing XI is expected to remain the same with Dhawan, Shaw, Iyer, and Pant forming the crux of the top order. Hetmyer, Stoinis, and Akshar will form the lower middle order of batting, with Stoinis aiding Rabada and Nortje in the pace bowling department.

Chennai Super Kings COC Predicted Playing XI:
M Vijay, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni (C&WK), Sam Curran, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi

Delhi Capitals COC Predicted Playing XI:
Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer (C), Rishabh Pant (WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Akshar Patel, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Amit Mishra
