Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are taking on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2020 tournament opener at the Abu Dhabi stadium. CSK won the toss and MS Dhoni, who is returning to cricket after 437 days, chose to bowl first.
MI started off well, with Rohit Sharma hitting a beautiful four off the very first ball bowled by Deepak Chahar and made 51 runs in the first 6 overs. However, the CSK bowlers pegged MI back with constant wickets as Chawla removed Rohit (12), Curran took care of De Kock (33) and Chahar removed Suryakumar (17).
In the meantime, a surprise inclusion in MI XI, Saurabh Tiwary was looking good in his first IPL game since the 2017 edition. He slammed 42 runs in 31 balls with 3 fours and 1 sixes, while Hardik Pandya was promoted up the order to cause chaos and he did by hitting two huge sixes.

However, Ravindra Jadeja, in one over removed both the batsmen, but the credit actually went to Faf du Plessis, who took amazing catches at the boundary to send the two batsmen back to the pavilion.
Both the batsmen hit the ball in the air, and while Faf had to catch and throw the ball back into play for Tiwary’s wicket, Hardik’s catch proved to be a bit simpler as he was comfortably inside the boundary, but still had to jump quite a lot to pouch the ball.
