All eyes will be on Pant when Delhi Capitals (DC) will walk out to face Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on September 20 in IPL 2020. Although the southpaw has proved his worth on many occasions, his consistency with the bat would be key for Delhi.
Rishabh Pant surprised his teammate Ishant Sharma by playing a reverse ramp shot against the pacer during the practice session. Pant is strong off his legs, but that doesn't restrict him to just one area. He has a good range and loves to improvise.
Delhi Capitals posted a video on Twitter and told fans to be on their toes for what Pant would bring to display in the upcoming IPL. "What to expect when Rishabh's batting", wrote DC.
Even Ishant was in awe of the shot and he can be seen having a chat with the youngster. Hitting a pacer for the reverse ramp isn't easy and it shows the potential of India's rising star.
IPL 2018 was Pant's best year in the cash-rich league. Although DC failed to qualify for playoffs, he scored 684 in 14 matches with an eye-catching average of 52.61 and a strike-rate of 173.60.
