The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL 2020 was supposed to commence this March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was suspended, and finally, this season is set to begin on 19th September in UAE.
As usual, eight teams are taking part in it. Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the favorites to win the title and other teams like Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too are expected to give a good fight.
Mumbai Indians - four times or defending champions have been the most successful team of the Indian Premier League. This year also they're the most favorite team for the title. Rohit Sharma's side have great depth in batting as well as in bowling. The addition of Chris Lynn, Trent Boult, Nathan Coulter Nile, and Sherfane Rutherford have further strengthened them.
For this season their key players will be Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Pandya brothers, Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar, and Quinton de Kock. Although they will miss Lasith Malinga who is absent from this season due to personal reasons.
