Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday (September 13) announced USA pacer Ali Khan as the replacement for injured England left-arm pacer Harry Gurney for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in UAE.
Ali Khan becomes the first cricketer from USA to feature in the cash-rich T20 league after an impressive showing for the champions Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020, where he picked eight wickets from eight matches. The Pakistan-born 29-year-old fast bowler will act as a fine backup for Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson for the Knight Riders.
