The 13th season of the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL 2020 was supposed to commence this March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was suspended, and finally, this season is set to begin on 19th September in UAE.

As usual, eight teams are taking part in it. Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the favorites to win the title and other teams like Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too are expected to give them a good fight.

Chennai Super Kings - three times champions and five times runners up have been the most ever consistent team of the Indian Premier League. They have made to play-offs in each and every season of this league and they're expected to continue their this streak. Though they are without Suresh Raina for this season and all the responsibility is now on MS Dhoni to lead this side. Though he has experienced players like Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson for support. Batting will mainly rely on the trio of Faf du Plessis, Shane Watson, and MS Dhoni.

Youngsters like Ruturaj Gaikwad and all-rounder Sam Curran too have good chances to show their potential. In the bowling they have a spin dominated attack and the likes of Imran Tahir, Piyush Chawla, Ravindra Jadeja, Sai Kishore, and Mitchell Santner will have to play a big role.

In pace attack, they have Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood, and Dwayne Bravo. Overall they're looking for an experienced side of aged players.
