IPL 2020: WATCH – Shikhar Dhawan plays wide range of strokes during Delhi Capitals’ practice session

Dhawan seems to be in complete control of his game ahead of IPL 13.

Shikhar Dhawan | GettyDelhi Capitals (DC) opener Shikhar Dhawan seems to be in complete control of his game as the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) draws closer.

The same was evident in a video posted by Dhawan himself on Twitter. In the clip, the southpaw can be seen playing a wide range of strokes during practice sessions, with some of the shots quite unconventional in nature.

“Getting back into the rhythm - step by step! Love middling the ball,” he wrote in the caption.

Dhawan was last seen in action during the home ODI series against Australia in January. He missed the tour of New Zealand earlier this year due to a shoulder injury.

The veteran left-hander was set to make his comeback via the ODI series against South Africa in March, but the first match in Dharamshala got washed out and the next two weren't played because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 season of IPL will kick-start on September 19. Delhi Capitals will open their campaign against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium a day later.
