As the Kings XI Punjab franchise started training in the UAE for the IPL 2020 after having completed their quarantine period in Dubai, the KXIP captain KL Rahul has expressed his delight for being able to return to the practice after five-month-long Coronavirus-forced break.
The KXIP the first team to arrive at the UAE last week for the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 starting on 19th September.

The franchise led by Rahul has now successfully completed its six-day quarantine period in Dubai and tested negative for COVID-19 thrice in that period before they were allowed to enter the bio-secure bubble on Wednesday night to start their preparations for the IPL 13.
As the KXIP hit the nets on Wednesday evening, Rahul was elated after having returned to training and also opened up about the team’s first training session while pointed out that the temperatures in the conditions in UAE are hotter than what he is usually used to playing under.

In a video posted by the KXIP on its official Twitter handle, Rahul said: “It (the net session) was very good. Been at home for so long so just being able to get a chance to be in the middle with the team to get a hit feels really really good.”
He further added, “The conditions are very very hot. Ideally, I would have loved to bat in temperature much cooler. But yeah, really happy to be outdoors and to practice and to do what we love.”
