Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is completely focused on the training ahead of IPL 2020. He is not only giving time to his batting but also bowling in the nets and looking relaxed before flying to UAE.
CSK has set up a five-day camp in Chennai and CEO K.S. Viswanathan is keeping a trace of the preparation. As per him, Dhoni was looking good with the bat and hit sixes in all directions.
Speaking to Sportstar, Viswanathan said, “Dhoni is striking the ball very well. And there were plenty of sixes in all directions. Dhoni was his usual self, relaxed, confident, and happy.”
Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 through an Instagram post. "The team was surprised.”, revealed Viswanathan.
CSK is set to leave for UAE on Friday afternoon and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who couldn't join the franchise for the camp because of personal commitments, landed in Chennai on Thursday.

Talking about the camp, he said, “The boys had not trained for a long time and this was good for them. Coming after a break, they did not stretch themselves fully. That could have led to injuries. But the cricketers gradually found their rhythm."
“There will be another six days of quarantine for the team once we land in Dubai. So I would say the camp here was vital for many players,” he added.
Viswanathan liked the way Murali Vijay and Rituraj Gaekwad batted in the camp. “I thought M. Vijay was striking the ball very well. So was Rituraj Gaekwad. We have a lot of options in the side,” he said.
Talking about the net bowler Aswin Crist, who returned to cricket after three years undergoing back surgery in New Zealand, Viswanathan said he was bowling well.
“Crist was there on all days. He was bowling well. In fact, he looked sharp. The boys are in the right frame of mind. The signs are good for CSK,” said the CSK CEO.
