Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been an enthralling affair and remains in the headlines for different reasons, but this season, the 13th edition is hitting the headlines for a noble cause and that’s the IPL 2020 All-Star match.
Last month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly had announced an IPL 2020 All-Star match with the registered IPL cricketers will participate in the match to raise money for charity – which would be an annual affair going forward.
Well, the much anticipated All-Stars match will be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 25 – three days before the IPL 2020 opener between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on March 29 at the same venue.

The reports suggested that the Wankhede Stadium has been finalized as the venue for the charity match ahead of the IPL 2020.
The reports also revealed that Ganguly-led BCCI has agreed to send four players for two Asia XI vs World XI matches to be played on March 18 and 21 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the schedule for the upcoming cash-rich event was recently announced with the tournament starting just 11 days after India's home ODI series against South Africa on March 18.
According to the reports, the All-Stars fixture will see franchises belonging to the South and West part of India- Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad lock horn with the players belonging to the North-East based franchises- Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals.
However, the names of the players are yet to be confirmed for the All-Stars match.
