IPL 2020: Sheldon Cottrell eager to teach Shami his trademark salute with Neesham at KXIP

Cottrell wasn't impressed with Shami's salute and he wants to teach him in IPL.

West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell reacted to New Zealand XI's Jimmy Neesham getting out to Mohammad Shami during India's tour match.

Shami clean bowled Neesham who went for a drive off his length delivery. The seam movement was enough to take an inside edge and dismantle Neesham's stumps.

Cottrell quoted Circle of Cricket's post and tweeted how the wicket is anyway a positive outcome for Kings XI Punjab. Both the cricketers play for the same IPL franchise, in fact, Sheldon has also joined them this season.

What really didn't impress Cottrell was Shami's salute. "So it’s a win for @lionsdenkxip no matter what @JimmyNeesh but what we have to work on really is your salute @MdShami11," he wrote.

Sheldon Cottrell is famous for his post-wicket celebration. Marching halfway to the pitch, he gives a salute, followed by a roar after dismissing a batsman.

Cottrell was bought by KXIP at a whopping INR 8.5 crore in the IPL 2020 auction last year.
