After this incident a lot of fans were angry with the off-spinner and still troll him for that. Today it was one of those days as a twitter user posted a photo of a brand-new box of white cricket balls and wrote, “My gift to Ashwin this Christmas.

The IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals also took a jibe at the Chennai-based cricketer as their official Twitter handle quoted the tweet and wrote, “No points for guessing who is adding this to their cart for #IPL2020.

Ashwin also responded to the franchise and took their tweet in good spirit. He wrote, "Might well be a good collection for the non strikers who meander along. Good banter nevertheless wish you all a happy 2020."

Ashwin will now be joining a new IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) for the 2020 edition of IPL with other big names like Ajinkya Rahane, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Jason Roy and Chris Woakes in his side.
