Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashed at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on April 26, 2026, in the 38th match of the IPL 2026. LSG captain Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first.

KKR's top order was rattled by Mohsin Khan as Tim Seifert (0), Ajinkya Rahane (10), and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (9) fell in quick succession. While Seifert and Rahane fell to Mohsin, Raghuvanshi was dismissed for obstructing the field.

Cameron Green made 34, while Rovman Powell made 1 run. However, it was Rinku Singh, the KKR vice-captain, who put some respect on KKR’s final total. He hammered 83* in 51 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes.

The best part came in the final over, which was bowled by Digvesh Rathi. After bowling two wides and one dot, Rathi was taken to cleaners by Rinku, who smashed the mystery bowler for four consecutive sixes in the next four balls.

The first six was muscled over long on, the second six was creamed over extra cover by Rinku, and the third six was again hit on the leg side. The fourth maximum was what made things exciting for KKR, as Rinku Singh took the final KKR total from 93/7 to 155/7, with 26 runs off the final over.
