India’s Sai Sudharsan pulled off an incredible reflexive catch to get rid of West Indies opener John Campbell on Day 2 of the second Test between the sides in Delhi on Saturday (October 11).
The moment unfolded in the eighth over of visitors’ first innings. While facing Ravindra Jadeja, Campbell nailed a slog sweep but Sudharsan’s freak catch resulted in his dismissal.
Sudharsan, who was positioned at forward short leg, took his eyes off and was ducking for cover, but as he left his fingers pointed upwards, the ball somehow stuck along his helmet, chest and hands. The southpaw made sure it didn’t pop out as India drew the first blood.

Earlier, India declared their first innings at 518/5. Skipper Shubman Gill starred with the bat on Day 2 as he went on to smash his 10th Test century, remaining unbeaten on 129 runs for his highest score in the longest format at home.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was unbeaten on 173 at stumps on Day 1, managed to add only two runs to his overnight tally. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed 49 runs while Dhruv Jurel scored 44 runs on the second day.
