India’s star cricketers, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, shared a heartfelt moment during the second ODI against South Africa in Raipur on Wednesday (December 3).

During South Africa’s chase, Rohit was fielding near the boundary in front of the dugout when Pant, sitting inside, noticed his fallen eyelash. The southpaw picked it up, put it on former India skipper’s wrist and told him to make a wish.

Rohit then blew the eyelash off his wrist and made a wish, with both players looking up at the sky afterwards. The adorable moment was caught on camera and it quickly went viral on the internet.

Coming to the Raipur ODI, India racked up 358/5 in their allotted 50 overs after being asked to bat first, courtesy of centuries from Virat Kohli (102 off 93) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (105 off 83).

In reply, the Proteas rode on Aiden Markram’s ton (110 off 98) and crucial contributions from Matthew Breetzke (68 off 64), Dewald Brevis (54 off 34) and Corbin Bosch (29* off 15) to overhaul the target with four wickets as many deliveries to spare, leveling the series 1-1.

The series-deciding third ODI will take place in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (December 6).
