India skipper Rohit Sharma is quite a character both on and off the field. His one-liners and banter with teammates often spark memes on social media.

Sharma is also known for his forgetful nature. During the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Pakistan, he forgot about the whereabouts of the coin at the toss, which he had kept in his pocket. He once forgot the team’s decision to bat or ball first after winning the toss in a game against New Zealand.

On Friday (October 18), Rohit’s confused side once again put him on the spotlight. In a video doing rounds on the internet, the Indian captain was seen making his way to the Chinnaswamy ground from behind the sight screen, as the netizens claimed that he probably lost his way at the venue.

The clip also caught wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant calling Rohit from behind, but the latter ignored, probably amid the cheers from the crowd.

Notably, the incident took place during the third day’s play in the ongoing first Test match between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru.

Here’s the video:

Rohit Sharma managed to score only two runs in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test match against New Zealand, where India were bowled out for a historic low of 46, but the captain bounced back in the second dig to score a dazzling half-century (52 off 63), which helped the hosts reduce the deficit to 125 runs at stumps on Day 3.

Besides Rohit, Virat Kohli (70) and Sarfaraz Khan (70*) also slammed half-centuries to stage India’s comeback in the opening Test match.
