Mohammed Siraj, India pacer was on fire as he was involved in a heated conversation with New Zealand opener Devon Conway. The incident happened on day 2 of the ongoing first Test between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After the first day was washed out do rain, India won the toss and chose to bat first in overcast conditions. New Zealand pacers made merry of the conditions that assisted swing and seam as India was bundled out for 46, their lowest Test total at home and against New Zealand.

Matt Henry with 5/15 and Will O’Rourke with 4/22 were the chief destroyers while Rishabh Pant with 20 top-scored for India.

In response, New Zealand ended the second day on 180/3 with a lead of 134 runs. Devon Conway starred for Kiwis, scoring 91, while Will Young made 33 and Rachin Ravindra is 22*. For India, R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja picked one wicket apiece.

After being hit for a boundary in the 15th over of New Zealand's innings, Mohammed Siraj, who had gone wicketless in seven overs, had heated words with Conway.

The Bengaluru crowd erupted, chanting “DSP, DSP, DSP” in support of Siraj, while others responded with “CSK-CSK-CSK,” highlighting the IPL rivalry between Siraj’s RCB and Conway’s CSK. Siraj recently was appointed as the DSP by the Telangana police and photos of him in police uniform went viral on social media.

Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, commenting on the incident, quipped: "You see the new DSP."
