Team India registered a comprehensive four-wicket victory over England in the second ODI in Cuttack on Sunday (February 9) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

In reply, Rohit Sharma launched a brutal assault on the English bowlers right from the word go. He notched up his half-century off 30 balls and stitched a 136-run opening stand with Shubman Gill to put India in a commanding position.
While Gill was dismissed for 60 off 52 balls, Rohit continued his carnage and reached the three-figure mark in 76 deliveries. The Indian captain smashed leg-spinner Adil Rashid over long-off for a big six to bring up his 32nd ton in the 50-over format.
Rohit was dismissed by Liam Livingstone in the 30th over for 119 off 90 balls, including 12 boundaries and 7 sixes. At the time of his dismissal, India needed 85 runs off 122 deliveries and the likes of Shreyas Iyer (44) and Axar Patel (41*) returned with vital knocks to seal the deal in 44.3 overs.
