There are fewer love stories better in world cricket at the moment than Rohit Sharma and the stump mic. Every now and then, the Indian captain dishes out meme materials with his stump mic gems.
On Thursday (March 7), Rohit once again showed his funny side as his one-liner caught on stump mic went viral on social media.
During the 38th over of England’s first innings in the Dharamsala Test, wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav knocked over Zak Crawley with a ripper, which led to Jonny Bairstow’s arrival to the crease.
Before the next ball, Kuldeep discussed his strategy with Rohit and the Indian skipper hilariously suggested that he can bowl anything to Bairstow.
"Isko toh kuch bhi daal (Bowl whatever you want to him)," Rohit can be heard saying in the viral video.
Here’s the clip:
Coming to the match, India bundled out England for a modest 218 in the first innings on the back of Kuldeep Yadav’s five-wicket haul (5/72).
R Ashwin (4/51) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/17) shared the remaining five scalps between them to help India bundle out England for 218 in the first innings.
The hosts ended the opening day on 135/1, trailing England by just 83 runs with nine wickets in hand. Rohit Sharma (52*) and Shubman Gill (26*) were unbeaten in the middle at the close of play.
