The excitement is building as cricket fans are looking forward to Virat Kohli's return to the T20I arena after a long hiatus, having last played in 2022 at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
Kohli is set to make his return to T20I cricket in the ongoing three-match series against Afghanistan at home. The former Indian cricket team captain has been recalled for the series, as this is the last one that India play in the shortest format before the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
However, the dashing right-hander missed the first T20I due to personal reasons, but he is all set to gear up for the second match against Afghanistan, which will be played in Indore on January 14.
Meanwhile, Kohli already left for Indore on Saturday, January 13, as the video of his departure from Mumbai Airport is going viral on social media. Fans couldn't help but notice Kohli’s impressive Mercedes-Benz car, with some even dubbing it a 'beast'.

Notably, the BCCI also named the squad for the first two Tests of the upcoming five-match Test series against England, starting on January 25 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. And, Kohli, quite obviously, also found his place in the Test team.
On the other hand, Indian team defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets on Thursday in the first T20I in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
